My Story

From an early age, I often felt like I was standing on the sidelines, waiting for my turn while I watched others succeed. Whether it was in school, friendships, or activities, I always felt like I was falling behind, trying to figure out how everyone else made it look so effortless. As time passed, I found myself fading into the background. It was easier to stay quiet, unnoticed, than to feel like I didn’t measure up.

The only place I felt truly at home was in drama class, where I could step into someone else’s shoes. It gave me a break from the constant comparison and let me escape from the pressure to be “good enough.” I wore so many masks over the years — adapting myself to fit in, to seem more outgoing, more likeable, or more fun. Looking back, I know this is something many of us go through, this intense need to belong, even if it means denying parts of ourselves.

After graduating university, I reached a turning point. I knew I couldn’t continue living in a way that felt disconnected from who I was. So, I embarked on a journey of self-discovery, expanding my world view through travel, working in a variety of different industries, and deep personal reflection. Along the way, I learned a powerful truth: there is no universal “right” way to be. Your sense of well-being is directly tied to how aligned your life feels with what genuinely matters to you. The idea of success or happiness is different for each of us, shaped by our experiences, upbringing, and culture.

That realization brought me a peace I had never experienced before. The discomfort I once felt — as if I was different from everyone around me — began to dissolve when I understood that maybe I was just evaluating myself against beliefs and values that were not my own. That clarity allowed me to finally accept myself and inspired me to help others do the same.

When the pandemic arrived, like many of us, I found myself reflecting on what truly matters. It became clear to me that my heart was in helping others uncover their own truth, just as I had done. So, I made the decision to shift from a decade-long career in hospitality, tourism, catering and events to becoming a counsellor.

Today, I offer a safe and compassionate space for you to explore who you really are, without the pressure to be anything other than yourself. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, low self-worth, or just feel out of alignment with your life, I’m here to help you peel back the layers and reconnect with your authentic self.

It would be an honor to walk beside you on your journey to self-discovery and acceptance. Let’s work together to build a life that feels truly yours.
